Quantum Builder is used to deliver various malware, most notably the Agent Tesla Remote Access Trojan (RAT), a .NET-based keylogger and information stealer active since 2014. It has also been linked to other malware families like RedLine Stealer, IcedID, GuLoader, RemcosRAT, and AsyncRAT. The tool employs sophisticated techniques to evade detection, including the use of Living Off the Land Binaries (LOLBins) like PowerShell and MSHTA to execute malicious code. It incorporates User Account Control (UAC) bypass methods, such as leveraging the Microsoft Connection Manager Profile Installer (CMSTP) to run payloads with administrative rights, and can also disable Windows Defender exclusions.
